Traveling on a wheelchair or have an elderly members of your group who have trouble climbing stairs and walking long distances? Are you bringing your own small scooter along to make it easier to move around? Worrying if you will be a bother for other members of your group because of facilities not ready for physically challenged people?

Grandpetersburg is a tour company that is used to mobility impaired visitor and disabled friendly itineraries. We strongly recommend that you inform us in comfortable advance about your special needs. This way we will offer you amended itinerary of your private St Petersburg shore excursion. We have an experience of working with such kind of travelers. Our vehicles are all equipped with spacious luggage compartments to be able to fit in several folded wheelchairs or scooters.

Below we have listed St Petersburg sites of interest that are equipped with special ramps and elevators/lifts for mobility impaired visitors.

  • State Hermitage museum — the museum has lifts and wheel chairs are available to hire (deposit required);
  • the church of Our Savior-on-the-Spilled-Blood — it has ramps;
  • St Isaak’s Cathedral — special elevator is installed in order to help wheelchair visitors of the cathedral to experience overwhelming 120 feet bird-view of St Petersburg;
  • Catherine Palace (Amber room) + park — the museum has lifts and wheel chairs are available to hire (deposit required);
  • Peter-and-Paul fortress (if cobblestone pavement is not a problem);
  • the State Russian museum — the museum has lifts and wheelchairs are available to hire (deposit required);
  • Peterhof is partially accessible and free wheelchairs can be rented.

Please note that St Petersburg group tours are not available for mobility impaired visitors.
